Holt
House
Located 1 mile north of Granite Falls, MN on
County Rd 5,  Holt House was built in 1884 by
William H. Holt.  It is one of the rare examples of
Orson Fowler's octagon house fad. Though some
changes have been made, many of house's original
features remain - woodwork, marble fireplace, and
the remains of a dumb waiter in the basement.

We are currently remodeling two guestrooms and
plan to open Holt House Bed and Breakfast.  Our
goal is October, 2010 opening, maybe earlier.

residents and history of this house on the

Visit
Grove Gallery in the granary for gnomes,
antiques and Caterpillar collectibles.   JUNQUE in
the metal shed has a bit of everything.  We're open
for the summer!

Holt House will be open for tours July 18 and 25th
1-5 PM.  $8 for adults, $4 under 12.  Other times
by appointment.
