March 2-8, 2008: Sarina Otaibi, Weaver House owner, is spending her college
spring break in Granite Falls, arranging for the house to be moved.
March 3 , 2008 - When inspecting the house with the mover, I had a nice
surprise - water had been left on and the basement flooded ruining the furnace,
water heater and electric box that could have been moved and reused! Money
spent before I even start!
March 20, 2008 - I recieved the bid for the excavation.
May 15, 2008- exciting day!! I just came from Florida on May 13 and the house
is now happily in its new location. The block work will start on Monday and in 3
weeks I'll be able to go in my house and start work!

Falls, out on Highway 212, to its new home on Lincoln Ave.
May 23, 2008 - The foundation is complete and the house will be lowered onto
its new base next Tuesday, then I get inside and start the fun stuff!
June, 2008 - We've been working on the interior, got all the ugly carpet out and
are stripping off the old layers of wallpaper. I've already purchased some of the
furnishings, can't wait until things are finished!
August 15, 2008 - I received financing from the Citizen's State Bank to finish the
house to the point of the certificate of occupancy.
Aug-Nov 2008 - My parents hired plumber, electrician and carpenters and did a
lot of work themselves. Finally on Nov. 21, we finished all the requirements for
the certificate. Work will continue more on cosmetics next spring. I hope to rent
the house as a short term, furnished vacation or business rental.
May-Aug, 2009 - Myself, sister, boyfriend and parents all worked on the Weaver
House this summer. We finished it to the point of offering it as a guest house
rental, though I still have a few projects I'd like to do to fully restore the house.
We also put the house up for sale so we'll see what happens. I would still like to
do the guest house rental if it doesn't sell.
Dec.4, 2009. The house was sold, rather sad but better to have somebody living
in it full time. Good luck to the new owner!
