The footbridge has been an important feature of
downtown Granite Falls for years.  It connects
the east side green area and residents with
downtown.

The bridge was designed by Roebling and Sons
Company who also designed and built the
Golden Gate Bridge and the Brooklyn Bridge.  It
was built in the spring of 1935, replacing the
previous wooden bridge.
